Screening and registration schedule for newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates for the University of Lagos for the 2021/2022 academic session will hold from Monday, 22nd November to Friday, 10th December, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. 

Candidates are to come along with the following documents in duplicates for the screening and registration exercise. The documents should be arranged in the order outlined below: 

  1. Two (2) copies of Screening Form (Coloured and photocopy) (SIGN AND DATE)
  2. UNILAG Online application form (FOR DIRECT ENTRY ONLY – Coloured and photocopy)
  3. JAMB Admission Letter (Institution Copy – Coloured and photocopy)
  4. UTME Result Slip (Coloured and photocopy) (Not applicable to DIRECT Entry Candidates)
  5. UNILAG Post-UTME Result Slip (Coloured and photocopy) (JUPEB/OND/HND RESULT SLIP for DIRECT Entry candidates -Two {2} photocopies)
  6. O’Level Result Certificate (WAEC/NECO) OR an online version of the result (Two {2} photocopies) STATEMENT OF RESULT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
  7. Letter of Reference from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/ Senior Civil Servant (Typed on Letterhead paper, indicate Status in Office, indicate Pastor-in-Charge/Chief Imam, Lawyer to place Valid NBA Seal), addressed to The Registrar, University of Lagos (original and photocopy)
  8. Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age (Two {2} photocopies)
  9. Testimonial from Secondary School attended (Two {2} photocopies)
  10. State of Origin Certificate (Two {2} photocopies)
  11. Toxicology Test Result (Two (2) photocopies)
  12. Coloured Passport Photographs (12 Copies) All must be the same

NOTE: Candidates are expected to present original documents of the following for sighting: (birth certificate, state of origin certificate, testimonial, WAEC/NECO certificate (if available), Cambridge/JUPEB/OND/HND/B.Sc. results)

How Unilag calculates total aggregate score for UTME undergraduate admission

University of Lagos calculates aggregate scores of applicants by weighting 20% to O-Level results, 50% to the UTME score, and 30% to the post UTME score.

University of Lagos calculates aggregate scores of applicants by weighting 20% to O-Level results, 50% to the UTME score, and 30% to the post UTME score.

In this system of scoring: A1 = 4.0 points; B2 = 3.6 points; B3 = 3.2 points; C4 = 2.8 points; C5 = 2.4 points; C6 = 2.0 points. Grades must be obtained at ONE SITTING.

Following are the steps you should take to calculate your aggregate score:

i) Divide your UTME score by 8.

2. Use the form in the following link to calculate your O-level aggregate score using only your 5 required subjects for the course you applied for.

3. Get your Post UTME score.

4. Add the component scores from steps 1 – 3 above and the score you get is your total aggregate score.

Instructions for Unilag 2021/2022 Online Post-UTME

2021/2022 Unilag Post-UTME Aptitude Test is scheduled to hold from Monday 1st to Friday 5th November, 2021.

The University of Lagos wishes to inform all prospective Post-UTME candidates of the following instructions ahead of the 2021/2022 University of Lagos Post-UTME Aptitude Test scheduled to hold from Monday 1st to Friday 5th November, 2021.

All candidates are advised to carefully read and adhere to the instructions.

  • This is a competitive qualifying aptitude test. Candidates must comport themselves accordingly. Candidates are advised to have a reliable internet connection before attempting the online aptitude test.
  • Your activities during the period of the aptitude test will be monitored and recorded. Candidates will be required to attempt the test with a webcam and microphone enabled device. (For optimal experience, use of mobile phones for the aptitude test is discouraged).
  • Candidates are forbidden from covering their webcams during the period of the aptitude test. Our inability to see the candidate at any time during the test may result in disqualification.
  • During the aptitude test, you are not permitted to leave your position. You are advised to adequately prepare before commencing the test.
    In the course of the aptitude test, you are not permitted to leave the test tab for another tab or application on the computer for any reason, not even to use the computer calculator. Departure from the test tab may result in disqualification.
    Nobody is permitted to be around you during the period of the test, not even members of your family. You will be disqualified if anybody is seen around you during the test.
  • The duration of the aptitude test is 30 minutes. The time starts to count immediately you click the start button and continues to count even if you log out before your 30 minutes lapses.
  • Do not read your questions out during the aptitude test. This will result to disqualification.
  • In the event that you run out of time, your aptitude test will automatically be submitted.
  • Use of face mask, face caps, ear piece or head phone during the test is prohibited.
  • Candidates should note that they can ONLY LOG IN on their scheduled date and time.

The University of Lagos wishes to inform all prospective Direct Entry (DE) candidates that online registration for admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2021/2022 Academic Year will commence from Monday 1st to Friday 12th November, 2021.

Eligible candidates should log on to the University of Lagos website unilag.edu.ng and follow the steps stated below:

Click on Admissions.

Click on Direct Entry (DE) Application.

Login with JAMB registration number as username and surname in lowercase as password.

Generate and print payment advice.

Proceed to any commercial bank to make payment or pay online.

Return to the University portal to complete the screening form.

Upload your O’Level and A’Level results (First Degree, HND, OND, SDA, JUPEB, Cambridge A’Level, NCE, NFLV DIP, MUSON DIP, ABRSM, Trinity College London, Baccalaureate, DELF/DALF).

Print Direct Entry e-registration slip.

Registration Fee – ₦2000

NOTE: ONLY candidates who made University of Lagos their first choice in the 2021/2022 Direct Entry (DE) JAMB application and possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O’level subjects including English Language and Mathematics are eligible for registration.

Candidates who would not have attained sixteen (16) years of age by October 31, 2021 are not eligible and need not apply.

Candidates who do not participate in the online registration will not be considered for admission.

SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION INTO SCHOOL OF FOUNDATION STUDIES (FORMERLY FOUNDATION PROGRAMMES) 2021/2022 SESSION

Supplementary Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates into the School of Foundation Studies, University of Lagos for the 2021/2022 Academic Session. Highly successful candidates after an approved examination administered by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), are eligible for consideration for Direct Entry admission into the 200 Level of the Degree Programmes of the University through JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board), or admission into the University of Bedfordshire, University of Central Lancashire, University of the West of England, De Montfort University, Leicester, University of Birmingham, (UK)University of Aberdeen, Scotland, University of Dundee, Scotland and Soochow University, China.

Please note that the programme does not currently have facilities for the visually impaired and is strictly a non-residential programme.

The School of Foundation Studies will provide an intensive one-year programme teaching subjects in line with JUPEB syllabus.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of FIVE credits (English Language, Mathematics and three relevant subjects) obtained at one sitting at the SSCE/WASSC, GCE/O/L, NECO with results obtained before registration.

PROCEDURE FOR COMPLETING THE SCHOOL OF FOUNDATION STUDIES e- APPLICATION FORM:

  • Visit the School of Foundation Studies application site on applications.unilag.edu.ng.
  • On the prospective student’s menu, click on the School of Foundation Studies.
  • Go through the information on subject combinations relevant to your proposed choice of course of study for Direct Entry admission. Please note that changes have been made on the previous combinations.
  • Complete the Pre-Application Form to obtain a payment reference number (PRN) using the correct applicant’s names as obtained in the birth certificate and other relevant documents.
  • Make payment at any Commercial bank in Nigeria with the payment reference number (PRN)
    Cost of Application Form (including on line practice tests, excluding Bank Charges) is N25,000.00 (non-refundable).
  • Return to the applications site on applications.unilag.edu.ng.
    Log in with PRN as username and applicant’s surname in lowercase as password.
  • Complete the application form and print two copies for yourself.
    Examination pass will be available online a week before the examination date. Print a copy for yourself.
  • Practice questions will be available online a week before the examination date (log in with your application number as username and surname in small caps as password.
    N.B: Please read the information on the subject combination relevant to your course of study before completing the application forms online.
  • The Application opens on Thursday, October 14, 2021 and closes on Friday, November 19, 2021.
  • Examination Dates: To be Communicated to all Applicants.
  • Mode of Examination: Computer-Based Testing (Please check the UNILAG Website a week before examination to verify your examination date).
  • All Questions are Multiple Choice.
  • Examination subjects are: Mathematics, English Language (20 questions each) and 3 other relevant subjects according to candidate’s choice of subject combination (15 questions each), making a total of 85 questions to be answered in one (1) hour. Please note that candidates with Mathematics as one of the three subject combination would need to choose Further Mathematics as a subject in the entrance examination combination.
  • The examination will be online according to the schedule on the Examination Pass.
  • Results: Results and merit admission will be released on the University website.

2021-2022 Unilag post UTME Screening to start October 11 2021

Candidates who made Unilag their first choice in the 2021/2022 UTME, and scored 200 and above, are eligible for screening.

The online registration for the University of Lagos Post-UTME Screening Exercise for Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2021/2022 Academic Year will commence from Monday, 11th to Friday, 29th October, 2021.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

Candidates who made University of Lagos their first choice in the 2021/2022 UTME, and scored 200 and above, are eligible for screening. In addition, candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O-Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Candidates who will not be sixteen (16) years of age by 31st October, 2021 are not eligible and need not apply.

Candidates who do not participate in the Post-UTME Screening will not be considered for admission.

Former students of the University whose admissions were withdrawn on the basis of poor academic performance or absence status could re-apply on condition that the new admission shall be for a new programme/course different from the former programme/course. Any student expelled from the University cannot be offered fresh admission.

To reprint your exam pass:

  1. Go to http://applications.unilag.edu.ng
  2. Click ‘Continue Application’;
  3. Enter your UTME registration number and surname (in small letters) in the fields provided. This step should login successfully;
  4. Click ‘Print Exam Pass’ to print your exam pass. This step will cause your updated exam pass to download in PDF format.
