Going by the above you need to substitute Economics with any of CRS/IRS, French, or any Nigerian Language.
Is English, literature, government and economics a good combination to study English language in UTME. What degrees do I need to become a lecturer or professor of language.
To become a lecturer of language you should pursue a language degree up to a minimum of Master of Arts (M.A.) in general, and for an institution like Unilag you will need a PhD. degree in language to have a good chance of becoming a lecturer.

English Language is a course under the Faculty of Arts while English Education is a course under the Faculty of Education.
