The School of Foundation Studies will provide an intensive one-year programme teaching subjects in line with JUPEB syllabus for admission according to the following subject combination groupings:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates into the School of Foundation Studies, University of Lagos for the 2023/2024 Academic Session from Monday, May 13, 2024 to Friday, August 9, 2024. Entrance examinations shall hold on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) in the University of Lagos.

Mode of Examination: Computer-Based Tests.

All Questions are Multiple Choice

Examination subjects are: Mathematics, English Language (20 questions each) and 3 other relevant subjects according to the candidate’s choice of subject combination (15 questions each), making a total of 85 questions, to be answered in forty-five (45) minutes. Please note that candidates with Mathematics as one of the three subject combinations would need to choose Further Mathematics as a subject in the entrance examination combination.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of FIVE credits (English Language, Mathematics and three relevant subjects) obtained at one sitting at the SSCE/WASSC, GCE/O/L, NECO with results obtained before registration.

PROCEDURE FOR COMPLETING THE SCHOOL OF FOUNDATION STUDIES e- APPLICATION FORM:

• Visit the School of Foundation Studies application site on unilag.edu.ng
• On the prospective student’s menu, click on the School of Foundation Studies
• Go through the information on subject combinations relevant to your proposed choice of course of study for Direct Entry admission. Please note that changes have been made on the previous combinations.
• Complete the Pre-Application Form to obtain a payment reference number (PRN) using the applicant’s names.
• Make payment at any Commercial bank in Nigeria with the payment reference number (PRN)
• Cost of Application Form (including online practice tests (excluding Bank Charges)) is N25,000.00 (non-refundable)
• Make payment at any Commercial bank in Nigeria with the payment reference number (PRN)
• Return to the applications site on unilag.edu.ng.
• Log in with PRN as username and applicant’s surname in lowercase as password.
• Complete the application form and print two copies for yourself.
Examination pass will be available online a week before the examination date. Print a copy and bring to the examination venue.

N.B: Please read the information on the subject combination relevant to your course of study before completing the application forms online

• The Application opens on Monday, May 20, 2019 and closes on Friday, July 26, 2019.
• Examination Dates: August 12 – 16, 2019
• Mode of Examination: Computer-Based Testing (Please check the Unilag Website a week before examination to verify your examination date).
• All Questions are Multiple Choice.
• Examination subjects are: Mathematics, English Language (20 questions each) and 3 other relevant subjects according to candidate’s choice of subject combination (15 questions each), making a total of 85 questions, to be answered in one (1) hour.
• All candidates are to report at designated venues (according to the schedule on the Examination Pass) two hours before the scheduled Examination time.

Results: Results and merit admission will be released on the University website on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

Supplementary Admission into Unilag School of Foundation Studies (Former Foundation Programmes) 2018/2019 Session

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates into the School of Foundation Studies, University of Lagos for the 2018/2019 Academic Session.

This is an opportunity to get into school for those who missed the initial application form and entrance examination to the foundation programme, those who wrote the initial examination but failed, and those who did not meet their UTME admission cut-off marks.

Application reopens on Monday, 17th September, 2018 and closes on Thursday, 27th September, 2018. Entrance Exam Date: Friday, 28th September, 2018

Screening Procedure for the Unilag School of Foundation Studies 2018-2019 Academic Session

Candidates who sat for the 2018 foundation entrance examination and who scored 40% or more have been invited for screening. Screening/Verification will take place at the Main Auditorium Foyer from 10th to 14th September, 2018 from 9.00a.m. to 4.00p.m. daily.

 

  1. Go to unilag.edu.ng
  2. Click on “Student login”
  3. login with your Application number (e.g. A123456) as username and surname in lowercase as password.
  4. You are required to change your password immediately.
  5. Click on “Update Biodata” to carry out all necessary updates (Compulsory) and print Biodata form
  6. Click on “Generate fees” and thereafter click on “view Pay Advice” to print your pay advice. (Pay advice at is stage is only for Acceptance fee)
  7. With pay advice in hand, Proceed to the bank to make payment of Acceptance fee.
  8. After payment, go online to print out your letter of acceptance.
  9. Fill out the form and proceed to the Screening venue at the Main Auditorium Foyer for verification of credentials (O’level Result, Birth certificate, School testimonial, Biodata form and duly signed acceptance letter). Please bring along originals of credentials and a set of photocopies in a white file

 

Thereafter:

 

  1. Return to foundation.unilag.edu.ng and relogin to generate another pay advice (this time, Pay advice will contain all other fees (the option to pay 50% of Tuition is available on the page)
  2. With pay advice, proceed to the bank to pay the other necessary fees.

 

ALL PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COME WITH ORIGINAL COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS.

  1. O’level Result.
  2. Birth certificate.
  3. School testimonial.

 

Screening/Verification will take place at the Main Auditorium Foyer from 10th to 14th September, 2018 from 9.00a.m. to 4.00p.m. daily.
