How to upload or update your O-level result on JAMB CAPS portal – 2023

Following are steps to take to upload your O-level results on JAMB CAPS.

First, verify the status of your O-level upload by the following steps:

This guide shows you how to upload O’level results on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) portal for Direct Entry and UTME admissions.

It is required that UTME candidates upload their O-level results (WASSCE and NECO) on JAMB CAPS portal for their admission process to be successful through the system.

O-level results can be uploaded to the JAMB portal at two periods:

  • During the JAMB registration process
  • After JAMB exams

During the registration for UTME, students who have their WASSCE or NECO results can upload them to the JAMB platform.

Other students sitting for the WASSCE/NECO/NABTEB examinations would be required to upload their scores when the respective O-level results are released.

Following are steps to take to upload your O-level results on JAMB CAPS.

First, verify the status of your O-level upload by the following steps:

  1. Log in to your JAMB profile (https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility_/)
  2. Click on ‘Check Admission Status,
  3. Click on ‘Access my CAPS’
  4. Click on ‘My O-level result to confirm if your O-level is uploaded.

After verification, if you are unable to upload your result by yourself, visit any nearby accredited JAMB CBT centre or JAMB office to upload your O-level result.

How to calculate your total aggregate score for Unilag undergraduate admission

University of Lagos calculates aggregate scores of applicants by weighting 20% to O-Level results, 50% to the UTME score, and 30% to the post UTME score.

In this system of scoring: A1 = 4.0 points; B2 = 3.6 points; B3 = 3.2 points; C4 = 2.8 points; C5 = 2.4 points; C6 = 2.0 points. Grades must be obtained at ONE SITTING.

Following are the steps you should take to calculate your aggregate score:

  1. Divide your UTME score by 8.

  2. Use the form at this link to calculate your O-level aggregate score using only your 5 required subjects for the course you applied for.

  3. Get your Post UTME score.

  4. Add the component scores from steps 1 – 3 above and the score you get is your total aggregate score.
