UNILAG online registration for Direct Entry Admission 2024-2025

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) online registration for Direct Entry (DE) admission into ALL UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES/COURSES for the 2024/2025 Academic Year, will commence on Monday, September 30, 2024 and end on Friday, October 11, 2024.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE: Eligible candidates should take the following steps on the UNILAG website www.unilag.edu.ng:

  • Click on Admissions
  • Click on 2024/2025 Direct Entry (DE) Application
  • Log in with Direct Entry (DE) Application number as username and surname in lowercase as password
  • Generate and print payment advice
  • Proceed to any commercial bank to make payment or pay online
  • Return to the University portal to complete the screening form
  • Click on Continue Application to complete the screening form
  • Upload relevant results (First Degree, HND, OND, SDA, JUPEB, Cambridge A’ Level, NCE, NFLV DIP, MUSON DIP, ABRSM, Trinity College London, Baccalaureate, DELF/DALF, O’level)
  • Click on Preview to verify the correctness of data supplied
  • Click on Submit
  • Print Direct Entry e-registration slip
  • Proceed to the Admission Office, 1st Floor, Room 174, Senate House, UNILAG and submit printed Direct Entry e-registration slip and credentials from Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 18, 2024.
  • SCREENING FEE: ₦2, 000

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES: Candidates who made University of Lagos their first choice in the 2024/2025 Direct Entry (DE) JAMB application are eligible to register. Also, candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

Please note that:

Candidates, who will not be sixteen (16) years of age by 31st October, 2024 are not eligible and need not apply.

Candidates should ensure that personal details (such as Name, Date of Birth, State of Origin, LGA, etc.) are consistent in all their documents/results.

Candidates who do not participate in the online registration will not be considered for admission

Former students of the University whose admissions were withdrawn on the basis of poor academic performance or absence status could re-apply on condition that the new admission shall be for a new programme/course different from the former programme/course.

Any student expelled from the University cannot be offered fresh admission.

The University of Lagos online registration for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2024/2025 Academic Year will begin from Monday, 5th August to Friday, 23rd August 2024.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

Candidates who made the University of Lagos their first choice in the 2024/2025 UTME and scored 200 and above are eligible to apply for Post-UTME Online Screening. In addition, candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at ONE SITTING in relevant O/level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

  • Only candidates who must have uploaded their O/Level results on JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on or before 9th September, 2024 will be considered for admission.

JAMB EXAM: Police nab two teachers, others as ‘miracle centre’ deal backfires

They were said to have influenced the enrollment of over 20 students in a “miracle centre” for JAMB examination after the duo allegedly collected huge sums of money running into thousands of naira from the students with the assurance that they will pass their examination with ease.

Detectives attached to Airport Police Division in Benin City, Edo State, have arrested two male teachers, four students, others in connection with Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination malpractice.

It was gathered that two of the suspects (teachers) at Salvation International Preparatory School located in Benin City, were arrested on the order of the president of the school, Evangelist (Mrs) Olaide Toyinbo following their alleged involvement in the examination racketeering.

They were said to have influenced the enrollment of over 20 students in a “miracle centre” for JAMB examination after the duo allegedly collected huge sums of money running into thousands of naira from the students with the assurance that they will pass their examination with ease.

But this was not to be after the examination results were released with the students’ abysmal failure thereby raising dust of the unexpected from the victims who demanded refund of their money.

Sources said that the suspects have been involved in examination malpractices long before the last straw that broke the camel’s back especially with JAMB, WAEC and NECO exams against the policies of the school that had been in existence over 25 years ago.

Confirming the arrest of the suspects, the Police Public Relations Officer at the Edo State Police Command, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, said that the suspects confessed to the crime, adding that they will be charged to court on completion of investigation as they were detained and subsequently granted bail for further investigation.

Speaking to Journalists, the president of the school, Evangelist Mrs Olaide Toyinbo said: “I traveled to America when my son’s wife delivered a baby when the Director of the School, Pastor Femi Toyinbo called me. I raced to Nigeria and ordered the arrest of the teachers when I called in the police.

“The police arrested some of the students because I don’t do malpractices in my school and outside. The teachers are criminals and they will suffer for their evil activities”.

Please note that the examination can be attempted wherever the candidate is and at any time within the 2-day period. However, there is provision for applicants to use the CBT centre at Distance Learning Institute (DLI), University of Lagos, Akoka on the specified dates. The centre will be available from 9a.m. to 12noon each day.

Please note that:

– All questions are Multiple Choice.

– Examination subjects are: Mathematics, English Language (20 questions each) and 3 other relevant subjects (according to candidates choice of subject combination (15 questions each), making a total of 85 questions to be answered in (1) hour.

– All candidates must be at the designated venues (according to the schedule on the Examination Pass) two hours before the scheduled Examination time.
