UTME Requirements: Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) subjects from the following: Financial Account / Principle of Accounting, Further Mathematics, Geography, Government, Biology, Business Management, Data Processing / Computer Studies, Literature in English.
UTME Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, plus one subject from the following: Financial Accounts, Further Mathematics, Geography, Government, Biology and Literature-in-English.
Direct Entry Requirements: i) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects: Economics and any other two subjects from Accounting, Business Studies, Government, and Geography.
ii) Two A/Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.

First, from what you have listed your son has met the O-level requirement for Accounting.
Second, the direct entry requirement for Accounting are: Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects: Economics and any other two subjects from Accounting, Business Studies, Government, and Geography.
So, yes Business Studies can be replaced with Government or Geography.
Thirdly, if your son decides to take Business Studies as one of his 3 JUPEB subjects, that he doesn’t have it in his O-levels would not affect his application.
Yes you can obtain the Foundation Form for your son.

I actually filled in government for Utme but when I got to the registration centre the jamb officer that was registering me said that commerce is what is required for accounting not Government ..I told him unilag required Government but he told me I was not “Okay” and registered commerce for me .
Too bad. Unilag does not accept Commerce for accounting.

Assuming that you have made at least C6 in the O-level subjects you mentioned then your 5 required Olevel subjects for Accounting are English, Mathematics, Economics, Geography and Biology.
Your UTME subjects for Accounting are English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any of Financial Accounts, Further Mathematics, Geography, Government, Biology and Literature-in-English.
For Actuarial Science once you have chosen your compulsory English Language, Mathematics and Economics for both your O-level as well as UTME subjects any of your other subjects except Agric. Science can be used to complete your subjects combination.
