University of Lagos Undergraduate specific admission requirements for Political Science 2018.

UTME Requirements: Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Government, Economics / Geography and any one of History, Literature-in-English, CRS/IRS.

UTME Subjects: English Language, Governmentand any twosubjects from Economics, Geography, History, Literature-in–English, CRS/IRS and Mathematics.

Direct Entry Requirements: Very good passes in three JUPEB/A Level subjects: Governmentand any two of Literature-in-English, Economics, CRS/IRS, History.

    1. Yes you have met the o-level requirements to study political science if you made all of english language, mathematics, government, economics and CRS at ONE sitting.

    1. Yes you can include Literature in UTME whether or not you made it in O-Levels. But be sure you have met the O-level requirements for Political Science.

    1. Dear Daniel, Commerce is not an accepted UTME subject for Political Science in Unilag. Replace it with any of Geography, History, Literature-in–English, CRS/IRS and Mathematics.

      1. Dear Tolu without English, (E8), you do not meet the O-level requirements for any undergraduate course in Unilag.

    1. You can write English, Government, Literature and CRS in UTME even though you did not make Literature in O-levels. What matters is that you have met the O-level requirements for Political Science.

    1. Yes your UTME subject combination for Pol. Sci. can be English, Govts, Lit-in-Eng, and CRS. You have also met the O-level requirements.

    1. If you have Cs all through in your required subjects then you are good to go. However, note that your aggregate O-level score would be lower than someone who has all As or Bs.

  14. I want to do Direct entry into University of Lagos. And i want to study political science. i only have credits in Mathematics, English, government, civic education, commerce but i don’t have economic. Please can i use Civic education instead to study political science?

    1. SFS12 is not correct for Political Science. Government is compulsory. SFS25 is correct for Political Science.

      The JUPEB subjects for Pol Sci are: Government and any two of Literature-in-English, Economics, CRS/IRS, History.

    I wrote my entrance exam, passed and now I’m required to go through the screening and registration process.

    Pls Can I get screened without reference letter and secondary school testimonial?…i don’t have these two documents.

        1. Mathematics is compulsory as an O-level subject requirement but it is not compulsory as a UTME subject requirement.

    1. Dear Adegbola, Government is a required O-level subject for Political Science in Unilag and you do not have it. You will need to change to another course for which you meet the subject requirements.
